Nick Malinowski hails from the great city of Philadelphia, a land rich with Cheesesteaks and Water Ice (pronounced “wooder ice”). He graduated from Penn with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
It could have been the economics, or maybe the philosophy, but really, most likely, the politics, that made him pick up and move to the other side of the world where he spent several years working in Beijing and Seoul. Nick’s travels have taken him from the Himalayas in India and Nepal to the deserts in Egypt and Jordan. He counts a two-week train ride from Beijing to Moscow as a highlight.
Nick began working as a strategy consultant in Beijing and has spent the last several years working across international markets and politics. Otherwise, you will typically find Nick on the baseball diamond, golf course or squash court.
An avid outdoors lover, Nick is currently living in Denver and pursuing graduate studies at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. A proud Philadelphia native, it is typical to hear Nick stating “This is our year” for practically all of Philadelphia’s sports teams. This is despite much evidence to the contrary.
